Back in Time

While we were in Snowflake the girls had a fun outing. To explain, my Mom is a volunteer for the Historical Society and gives tours at the various pioneer homes. For Christmas she collected over 120 aprons from days gone by and displayed them in the various pioneer homes. Mom gave us the tour and we were able to see the beautiful, diverse, aprons. It was a treat to see the many uses and creative designs of the aprons. Some were the nice formal aprons used only when company came. Others were apart of the everyday happenings in a day. It was a delightful morning. Mom then let us each pick an apron from a collection she had bought over the Internet as part of an estate sell. I was amazed at all of the different designs. Later that day we came home and made our own aprons from our favorite aprons we saw. The little girls also had aprons made. (I'll show pictures later of those) It was a fun jaunt into the past. THANK YOU MOM.

At the Stinson Pioneer Museum there is a display of ladies hats.

Here we are modeling the lovely hats.

Thanks for sharing your blog. Fun aprons and fun times. Did you get any of the quotes. No worries if you didn't.
