Emma is TWO!

Emma had an extra special treat for her birthday. It was a snow day and Dad's school was also cancelled so that meant everybody was home for her special day. Plus the snow made for a fun day. She watched the kids sledding outside and ate her first snow. She was a trooper getting bundled up in lots of layers to keep warm. Think of the kid from the "Christmas Story." She did have a few meltdowns on her birthday, but it was her day she could do what she wanted. The following Sunday our special guests came and helped us celebrate. She did not want to remove her darling shirt from the Staheli's when it was bedtime, nor the tinkerbell light up necklace from Betty. Both were quickly put on the following morning. Two has many fun achievements. She can climb out of her crib! Open any door. Take off her diaper after she has ....! Take off her clothes. Climb whatever to reach whatever. Open the fridge. Hurl her body to the floor as she wails about certian treatment. Wiggle out of her carseat while the car is in motion. Wake up in the middle of the night and crawl into bed with mom and dad all by herself. Put makeup on all by herself. Click her tongue really loud. Tell jokes. Sing lots of songs, many composed by Emma herself. And walk around proudly in dress-up shoes. What a busy time in her life! Here comes two, whether we are ready or not!

Leslie I think you summed up 2 year olds just right. It seems like just the other day with were both pregnant with our 2 year olds. Emma is such a cutie. I love your family picture. I miss you guys, it does look nice leaving out there in winchester. I am happy for you:)
