Almost Twins

Happy Birthday Brinlie and Carter. For awhile they have believed that because they share the same birthday, they must be twins. They are always disheartened when I have to explain again that they are not. But is still makes for a special day as they share in the happiness together.

The day started with Brinlie climbing into bed with us. I told her about the day she was born. And she asked questions about what she was like as a baby. During the night it had snowed and we woke up surprised and a little disappointed at the white stuff. We had plans for outside. Luckily it melted and the day was sunny and windy.

Our dear Staheli's came out in the morning and helped us celebrate their births with a delicious breakfast of Blueberry Pancakes and other yummy things. Presents were finally opened. Carter got his anticipated suit for church and Brinlie received her present a few days before because I couldn't wait! The Staheli's gave her a coin collection, which she added to her other special coins, and Carter received a dragon figurine that he always admires at their house. Grandma's and Grandpa's sent money which is always thought of many times about how to spend!

Later that morning A, B, and C had to sing a song at a Stake Baptism and did very well.

In the afternoon we visited our friends back yard. They had invited us to feed their baby lambs. It was a treat. They not only have lambs but sheep, horses, pigeons, chickens, and dogs. We had a lovely afternoon. We fed lambs, watched sheep getting sheared, petted all sorts of animals, the kids rode in buckets, fed chickens, and startled the pigeons. It was a glorious afternoon.

In the evening we went to our wards Blue and Gold Banquet. The kids ran around the gym with all the other kids and had a fabulous free time.

A lovely day.
