Last week Brinlie and Carter participated in our school talent show. Brinlie and her friend Britney wanted to do a skit. Their original idea of a cheerleader teaching an old lady how to cheer didn't go very far in the planning stage. I found a skit online about an old British man and his dunce side kick exploring the jungles of Africa. The old man sees various animals and the side kick doesn't. The final time the old man asks, "Reggie, Reggie did you see it Reggie?" "Yeh, I saw it!" then the old man replies, "then why in heavens did you step in it?" HAA HAA. Special huh, but it made everyone laugh and the girls had fun doing it. Brinlie can speak different accents really well. She was going to be British but once she was up on stage she became a little nervous and spoke normal. But the girls were dressed up and looked pretty cute. The picture is of them before they performed waiting. They were a little nervous.
And now for Carter Boy. He is an incredible whistler. And he loves Star Wars so we put the two together and he whistled the Star Wars theme. He cracks me up. It was very accurate. Oh, the little booger is so stinkin cute! He also was the first to perform. I was very proud of him for being so brave. Afterwards he said, "My stomach feels funny." Isn't is interesting that we feel nervousness in our stomach.

Good job Brinlie and Carter. It reminds me of when I did my horrible Jungle Book Dance. Thank goodness our parents love us when we embarrass them.
