On Saturday the 25th, we headed to Tuacahn for a special event. Brinlie had entered a writing contest about the pioneers that was through the library. She won second place in her age division. We were very proud of her. She thought about and carefully wrote her essay. Her reward for her efforts, a $50.00 debit card, a free meal at In-and-Out, and a medal. We were proud of our Brinlie girl. After the awards were handed out we had a special treat of listening to Brigham Young and Jacob Hamblin come tell us about their lives here in Southern Utah. It was a fun hot morning, gratefully cooled by slushies.

Good job Brinlie Coy. That's awesome.
Hooray for Brinlie. You are so talented! I also wanted to let you guys know that JC got his mission call to Spokane, Washington. Scott had mentioned that he wanted to know at the BBQ. I am not sure when he is speaking. You sure have a cute family:)
Awesome Brinlie girl! You are such a smartie!
Yahoo Brinley! What are you going to do with the $50? When your mom and I were little, it seems like we got an ice cream or a slice of pizza for winning a contest. That is the best! Way to go.
Congrats to your family. Good job Brinlie. You are such a sweet smart Girl. You guys know how to have a good time. Looks like you had a fabulous summer.
