Conference Weekend

Five days later we had another treat for us. Gavin and Jenny and their family and Grandma and Grandpa Hahn came down to see Les Mis at Tuacahn. Thank heavens for Tuacahn. Our kids were ecstatic to be with their cousins again. We even let them sleep with each other. It made for some late nights and grouchy kids, but a cousin sleepover was fun. Saturday we had rain most of the morning. So we hunkered down for conference. Six adults and nine children in one medium sized bedroom watching conference was an adventure. Grandma and Grandpa had brought toys for everyone. Which left happy faces on all. The crayon bucket spilt several times, we had differing opinions of who gets to sit where, and lots of noise. It was comical. The bits and pieces we heard were wonderful...But I am excited to read the rest of the bigger bits and pieces we missed.

On Saturday the adults headed off to Les Mis and were poured on for the last 20 minutes of the show, but it only added to the drama. I stayed home to babysit, since I had already seen it and bonded with a Jane Austen movie. They came home wet and invigorated by the performance.

Sunday afternoon after conference and a yummy meal with Grandpa Hahn cooking we took a needed break outside and visited Snow Canyon State Park. It was a beautiful day. Jen got some amazing photos. We did see pioneer signatures, and ventured into a few semi caves, but the big one was too big for little kids and will have to be explored on another trip.

Once again Monday morning we said goodbye to everyone and waved our farewells. Parting is such sweet sorrow. Thank you all for making the long drive.
